Montego Bay (or MoBay), located on Jamaica's northeast coast, is the island's third most populated city. The city is located in a small, beautiful bay christened "Fair Weather Gulf" by Christopher Columbus, and retains a peaceful, pleasant atmosphere.
Although it is today known as a first rate tourist destination, thanks to it's spectacular beaches, turquoise sea, warm and stable climate, as well as a great offering of hotels, it was once an important commercial port where butter, sugar and bananas were exported.
On top of all the exuberant nature it has to offer, Montego Bay is a city with a vibrant character, magnificent restaurants, quite a lively nightlife, a wonderful tax-free shopping area, colourful streets with Victorian houses that bring us back in time and much more.
Relax and take in the sun on a beautiful Caribbean beach, try all types of watersports, take a plantation tour, practise adventure sports in the mountains...such a wide and varied range of activities on offer for all types of travellers and interests.
